Freelancing: How to Get Clients Notice You

If you're a newbie in the world of freelancing, then chances are you have so many questions in your mind and you keep on doing research on how you can get your first ever client. I worked part time before I have decided to take it full time. Trust me, the first month will surely encourage you to give up and look for another job in the outside world. Okay, this depends on the person and his or her abilities and dedication. I know some newbie in freelancing who got their first ever client within a week after their profile have been approved and allow them to find jobs. Also, some of the newbie freelancers are struggling to get their first client and they feel like it's too impossible to get one because of the competition. Yes, if you want to work as a freelancer you have to be competitive -not with the people in the same category as you but be competitive with yourself.

So let's talk about on how you can boost your profile and get clients to notice you.

First, complete your profile. We're too excited to work and experience the life of working at home but sometimes, that excitement makes us feel in a hurry and forget about the focus on writing the important parts of our profile. You are going to work online so you should let the clients see some information about you that will make them consider to hire you.

Second, take different skill tests. Whether you have such expertise in a certain category but you like doing it, then you should consider taking skill tests. Take time to schedule and do it before applying to posted jobs. I know it can be tempting to skip that part but it plays the most important factor whether a client will hire you or not. It's not about the experience, it's all about passion, dedication and hard work that can take you up,

Third and last, personalize your cover letter. Most freelancers do the copy-paste thing when it comes to submitting a proposal to clients. (Why do I know? Because I am one of them.) Always remember, personalized cover letter is the best thing that you can do when submitting proposals. Do not just copy-paste it from the internet. Make time for writing it before submitting to different clients.

There you go! There are other ways on how you can get clients notice you and we will write an update about it on our next post so stay tuned!
